Recently we have been asked about recommendations for hypertension. High blood pressure is very tricky and a difficult thing to control with herbs only. There are things you can try to add to your everyday life to see if it helps. First and foremost is drinking at least 3 cups of green tea daily (morning, afternoon and early evening). Garlic has been known to be very helpful (see this article). You can buy garlic tabs in Walmart, Walgreens or CVS. The odorless garlic is the most user friendly and people have been known to take it a few times a day for different ailments. Suggestions to try to eliminate sodium from your diet is one we agree with. Exercise more frequently (aim for minimum of 3 times per week) and for longer periods (like doing 30 minutes of walking right before Tai Chi or an exercise program like Fitness Qigong before Tai Chi).
